Qualcomm demanded tip top quality for its 20,000 sq foot stand at Las Vegas’ CES. This consumer technology show has approximately 185,000 visitors and 4,000 exhibitors; the scale is huge – and so is the pressure to perform and stand out. Our beautiful stand helped Qualcomm relaunch its brand to an intrigued audience and help visitors interact with many different products during the course of the event.

Unusually, we built a metal-lined ‘Faraday Cage’ for one section of the stand to safeguard the integrity of Qualcomm’s newly developed technology. It blocked out over 1200 other electronic signals so the very sensitive kit inside it worked properly as well as prevented any competitor’s ability to download sensitive information.

Charged with quantifying the success of the stand, we deployed new technology to measure visitor foot traffic, dwell times in relation to each demo and patterns of movement through the stand throughout the day. The insights collected formed a valuable baseline from which to inform future stand design and signposting, demo prioritisation and staffing.
